What is Power Powder Coating?
First of all, we need to know what powder coating is. When you powder-coat a product, you are not just painting it, you are giving this product a smooth skin that is eye-catching, and you are making it resistant to the following:
- scratches
- cracks
- rust
Powder Coating is a procedure in which
particles of pigment and resin are electrostatically
charged and sprayed over a metal product that is electrically grounded, attracting
the particles to it like a magnet. Once the particles are covering the surface, the
powder coat is melted inside a curing oven until
it forms a smooth coating. This coating will have a harder finish than that of paint and
a high gloss.
We at Power Powder Coating have the expertise to powder coat just about everything metal. Examples of our work can be seen in some of our links. If you are interested, contact Powder Power Coating, and we will reply as soon as possible. Remember, powder coating is more than just a luxury, since it can make a product more elegant and also more durable.
Advantages of Powder Coating
Power Coating is the youngest of the finishing methods being used today. Its advantages over older methods can be divided in two categories:
- Durability
- Charm
The cost of powder coating means nothing if you think of much you can get from this procedure. A powder coated surface has a high gloss. It lacks the drips or sags that often appear with other finishes. Powder Coating enjoys a virtually unlimited color selection, from standards colors all the way to metallic colors. The end result can have a low gloss, a metallic look, or a clear finish. The texture can be smooth, but you can choose to have it wrinkled, or with a matte finish. The durability of powder coating makes the product scratch and ding resistant, flexible, and rust free.
